Weekend Tragedy

Explosion
Originally uploaded by Sparkys Girl
Hi everyone. I'm writing to give you a quick update. I don't know how often I'll be blogging this week or the next.

My in-laws recently moved and on Friday the stove in their new place exploded. Thank the good Lord they are both alive, but my Mother-In-Law suffered 2nd degree burns on her limbs. At this time they have no place to live and we have moved them in with us. I'll be spending a lot of my time helping my Mother-in-Law and I don't think I'll have a lot of computer time.

We are asking for prayer for her healing and for things to resolve the way they need to. We'll need to eventually find them a place to live and they are both in their 70's and only live on Social Security. It's not an ideal situation, but God will work it out. It certainly could have been worse and we are counting our blessings.

I'll keep you updated and will try to blog when I can. Please just be patient with me while we work through this crisis.

Gee, I'm sorry to hear this awful news. How kind you are being to your husband's parents. It can't be easy with all the other work you have as well. (((HUGS)))

Wow! I just looked at all the pics on Flicker and I'm amazed that it wasn't even worse! You and your family will be in my prayers! Hope your MIL heals well and quickly with no long term effects!

I'm also sorry to hear about the explosion. That looks just awful. It's wonderful that God protected them even though there was injury-it sure could have been so much worse. I'll be praying for you as you all try to live together- that can be very difficult.

I enjoy reading your blog. I'm a stay-at-home homeschooling mommy, too, so when I read your blog I feel like we have a lot in common. Keep up the good work- you can do it, (low carb, I mean) even under stress! We look forward to new posts when you have time.

I too look forward to new posts but take time, do what you need to and be sure to take care of yourself too.

Wow certainly makes you a little more wary of your own stove!

I hope your mother in law is okay and I hope all the other financial stuff that goes a long with it works itself out for the best!

Thanks everyone! MIL is doing very well. We got the ok yesterday to remove all the bandages. She still has a bit of pain, but it's much better than it was. Your prayers and well wishes have all been felt and greatly appreciated! (((HUGS)))
