I need your help

I'm trying to determine the direction of this blog. In order to do that I need to know what my readers would like to see more of, or less of, as the case may be. I'd thought about starting a poll, but honestly, I'd probably miss some important element. So here's what I'd like, if you don't mind sparing the extra minute or two...

Please leave a comment below answering the following:

What would you like to see more of? News? Research? My psycho-babble? Let me know what you do like and what you'd like to see increase.

What would you like to see less of? Tired of hearing about how tired I am or my teeth falling out? Prefer I don't gripe about junk science? Let me know what you think.

I can't promise I'll follow all the suggestions made, but they will at least give me some things to think about.

So please, pretty please, with all kinds of non-sugary good stuff on top? Please leave a comment (anonymous is fine if you'd rather not be named) and let me know your thoughts.

THANK YOU!!! :)

Hi Amy!

I only came across your blog at the weekend and have spent some time reading through some of your archives.

For myself, a very new low carbor, it is the daily journey that helps me. I'm not so much interested in a lot of the science side, although i know many will be.

At this stage in my story i need tips, hints and other people's progress.

Trying to get hold of this new way of life is tricky!

Best wishes,

Jackie

I am probably the worst one to talk about this as my blog is eclectic mess of 100 different topic. However, I don't use that as my voice in the low community that's what my Youtube videos are. Those by and large remain strictly weight loss, exercise, and diet focused.

Clarity of voice or message makes for a stronger voice outside the community, BUT inside that community, I want to know about your tooth that fell out at the dentist. Perhaps you have the best of both world here and at the Examiner. You have the ability for a clear voice there, link to that here, and provide the human side here as well.

That's just my perspective as someone who has wrestled with that same question. I have toyed with separating my blog out, but then I fall back to who do I want to be -- network admin, atkins diet person, marathon runner, and then end up doing nothing. Just wanted to say you are not alone. :-)

Being a science junkie I always want to know the science behind products and love seeing junk science exposed. However, I am also interested in learning about diet, new recipes and don't mind hearing about your life either.

Hi Amy!

I subscribe to personal blogs like your to play voyeur on the life of a fellow low-carber. I want to read the practicality of living this lifestyle; what struggles you overcome, how you beat monotony, any great recipes you discover, etc.

I already entrench myself in the science behind low-carb through the blogs of experts and medical sites, so having you re-iterate what I'm already reading direct from the source is redundant.

And the odd weird day is a fun lift from all the low-carb focus too :)

I like it all. I love the way you put your life in prospective with humor. I don't have time to read the junk science elsewhere, so I get it here. I like the recipes, the diet hints, etc. So, in my overall opinion, keep it as it is.

I'm like Jan. I like it as it is. :)

I like all the diet tips and any thing you can tell me about being a new low carbor. Your ever day life is written so that I want to come back day after day.
Please add more of what your eating and doing.

I like your mix of science, chat, news, personal, etc. I've been low-carbing since Jan 2004, and still love reading about other people's lives and experiences with low-carb food and weight challenges.Like many other commenters, I like your assortment of topics. My Google page is chock full of RSS feeds, but yours is among the handful I always read.

I hope you don't go the video podcast route though. I much prefer reading to listening.

Thanks for all you do!
