Never judge a study by it's headline




Here's my thoughts on the recent study and headlines concerning moods and low-carb diets.

It's just one study, so I don't put much stock in it.

Before the eating ever began, the low-carb group had twice as many people taking antidepressants.

So the researchers may have been comparing apples to oranges.

[FYI, I've been eating very low-carb since Sept 1. Neither I nor my housemates have noticed a change in mood either way. But my weight's gone from 170 to 155 lb.]

I agree it's just one study, and a poorly conducted one at that.
