Your prayers are requested

For those of you that believe in prayer, I would appreciate your praying for me. A very serious health problem I've dealt with in the past has crept back up. Some of you that have known me a long time will remember a scare I had with breast cancer about 3 years ago. I had a biopsy and thankfully it was only something called ductal hyperplasia. While that's not ideal, it's certainly better than the C word. I had the duct removed when they did the biopsy. I was told that my risk for breast cancer was now 20% higher and that the next 10 years are critical.

So I'm doing my daily exam today when I notice I'm having the same problem I did 3 years ago. I called my case worker with IBCCP, who instantly started setting things up for a consultation with a breast specialist/surgeon. So now I see the surgeon on Nov. 5th. Where things will go from there, I don't know. I do know that we are obviously concerned and as a family could use your prayers. Waiting is almost as hard as the diagnosis sometimes.

Thank you dear friends, old and new, for your prayers. I'll keep you updated and keep up the faith. I'm eating healthy and that can only help at this point! :)

I'm sorry you and your family are having to go through this trial. Consider yourself added to my prayer list. Only good thoughts and prayers coming your way.
Please post and let us know how your dr. visit goes and how your doing.
My favorite Aunt is a 6 year breast cancer survivor. Faith and prayer got her through it.
Big hugs,
Vikki

Dear Amy - you are in my prayers. I'm sure you are going to be fine. May God be with you and comfort you and your family. Your life is in God's hands - remember that - and He is such a good Father. You can trust Him. You will get through this.

Amy, could you check out your Examiner link on my blog, please. I keep getting the chocolate post and wondering if I'm linked properly. The same with Carol Bardelli - her post has not changed for ages - now I'm wondering... Thanks!

Thanks Jennifer. Your prayers mean a lot to me.

Your link is fine, I'm sure. I took last week off from writing. I'm guessing Carol did the same.

You, and Carol and Jimmy all took the week off simultaneously - I thought my links had gone screwy! lol

Amy, any good news yet? I'm expecting that it will not be anything serious. Hugs.

Yes, very good news Jennifer. All looks well and we are just keeping an eye on it until a re-check in February. :)
