What's up in looney land

Hey peeps! (And I'm not referring to those marshmallow kind.. those are EVIL!)

I'm going to start this post out with an apology of sorts. My lack of posting here on the blog and virtually nothing new on Examiner for 3 weeks is not good. Sadly, life has decided I have more important things to deal with right now. I'm going to do my best to get back to a regular schedule, but we'll just have to see how things go. So here's what's up in my crazy world...

Teeth. Yeah, again. I got the one crown cemented back in and it's doing fine, but... (You knew there was a but) The tooth next to it, my other front tooth, suddenly started causing me severe pain. So I woefully drug myself to the dentist only to leave in horror. I. Need. A. Root. Canal. And this one will be complicated, so I have to have it done by a specialist. My regular dentist doesn't want to to do it. Turns out the injury I received to my front teeth some 25 years ago could be the cause of this recent problem. When I was around 10 I hit my face on a metal pole playing tether ball. Broke my left front tooth clean off. That's the tooth I've had problems with ever since. A couple of root canals and several new crowns, or reattached crowns later, here I am. The front tooth on the right side has never bothered me, but I've noticed over the last few years the color has been changing. It's darker, especially at the top. Almost a grey color. Little did I know that this tooth has probably been dying slowly all these years from the trauma way back when. Soooooo... now I get to have a complicated root canal and another new crown. Can we say EXPENSIVE????? The only silver-lining I can find in all this, other than I'll no longer be in pain, is that now my teeth will all be white again. I'm on antibiotics and darvacet,(Pink elephants anyone???) which is a blessing since I can't get the procedure done until the 21st of this month. Pray they knock me out. I suffered through enough RC's to know that they are not comfortable and they take way too long.

School. Both the kiddos and mine. We are reaching the end of the year and this is when we get in rush mode to finish everything up. Lots of activities that keep us busy on a regular basis. I'm throwing a party when this school year ends... let me tell ya! My school work is not going so well. I now have less than 1 year to finish up the rest of my schooling.. and I'm still stuck at the half-way point. It stinks. So I'm scrambling to get finished before the deadline. Just another issue taking up my time right now.

Work.
I'm finally starting to get real photography work. I've recently done work for a local restaurant and also shot a Senior/family session. I'm working tirelessly to finish my editing and get them done. Then there are all the little things I'm learning on the way. The kind of stuff you only learn from experience and not books. I'm also working to get some kind of website up that reflects my current work. I have a new blog at the moment that I'm updating with my work, when I have the chance. You can see it here if you are interested:

Weight-Loss. It's slow going, but then that doesn't surprise me since I'm burning the candle at both ends. Stress is not conducive to quick weight loss. I'm trying to avoid the mindless eating that comes with the territory. Some days are better than others. I need to get this weeks menus planned so I don't fall flat on my face in a moment of weakness. As soon as I have the plan up, I'll post it for you all.

Ok, of to get more work done.. or school.... or housework... or whatever jumps in front of me and demands my attention for the moment.
