I'm. In. Pain.

I have no real idea what happened, but I'm guessing I slept in a bad position a couple of nights ago. I woke up yesterday with a slight pain in my left arm, but it only hurt when I raised it. It wasn't anything too bad so I ignored it most of the morning thinking I was probably just stiff. By yesterday afternoon it was somewhat worse, so I started being more careful with it. By the time I went to bed last night it was pretty bad.

I got very little sleep last night because the pain kept waking me up. I couldn't get comfortable. I now have pain in my upper arm, shoulder and shoulder blade. I haven't hurt this bad since I slipped a disc a few years ago, which resulted in muscle relaxants, anti-inflammatory meds and physical therapy. I literally was so locked up I couldn't move my head. This is getting that bad. Moving my left arm in any way is now painful. (Thank goodness I'm right handed!) And just sitting here, not using it, my shoulder aches.

So it looks like my plans for today will be visiting the Chiropractor. I can't take this much more. I just hope I can stay loose enough that he can put in back into place. Oh.. and I hope it doesn't hurt.

Better news:

I'm down 6/10ths of a lb today (172 even)! That's a total of 31 lbs gone forever! I should have had another celebration at the 30 mark, like I did for the 20 mark. I'm almost 1/2 way to my weight loss goal. Just 3 more lbs and I'll be there, so we can celebrate then!

As for my measurements yesterday.. I was confused by two of my measurements going up. I was right. I'm retaining water. TOM hit yesterday, so until this is over with it's any body's guess what will happen. I'm really surprised I lost anything at all the last couple of days. Usually with TOM it's all bloat and gain.

Well, I'm going to give it a rest. I'd appreciate prayers and good thoughts. The last thing I need right now is more doctor bills (no insurance), but I can't live like this either. I'll keep you posted.

UPDATE:

My hip and rotator cuff were out of place. The hip was an easy fix. The shoulder, not so much. I have to go back again tomorrow for another adjustment and I'm praying it works. I'm still in a lot of pain. I'm supposed to apply Biofreeze often and can also apply heat packs 20 minutes at a time. I still can't raise my arm due to pain. Trying to use it all makes me want to cry.

I'm off to take some ibuprofen and a nap (praying I can sleep through the pain..)

I hope you feel better soon. I did that with a disk about 20 years ago, and wasn't even doing anything, was lying in bed one morning motionless, slowly turned my head to the side and heard this 'pop' so loud it nearly made me cry. By noon I was useless with pain and it took like a week and a fortune in chiro to solve it. Maybe if you could get a muscle relaxant just sleeping with that might help something adjust.

Thanks PJ. I'm going to the chiro in about 45 minutes. Hopefully it will just take one adjustment, and a follow up to fix things. It's unreal how easy it is to get something out of place!

Oh man...I'm sorry you're hurting so much!! It's Rotator Cuff, and yea, it can be really painful!!

If it isn't better soon, as about getting an ultrasound to check for a tear. And maybe try some krill oil to help cut the inflammation.

Hope you're better soon!!

Thanks Cindy, I knew rotor cup didn't sound right? LOL

I'm feeling a bit better this morning, but still don't the range of movement I should. We'll see how things go at my appointment today. I'll go get some of that krill oil too.
