More Photos from the Gary Taubes Talk in November
I never did get around to sharing the rest of the photos I took from the talk Gary Taubes gave in November. So here are few more for you. Enjoy. Or ignore. Your choice. :)

Hey everyone! Life has kept me super busy this week! I'm so glad this is Friday. The weekend couldn't get here fast enough!
I just wanted to send out some Valentine's Day love and wishes to all my fantastic friends out there. You all have been such a blessing in my life and I have so much fun getting to know you through your comments, emails, etc.
I hope your Valentine's Day is full of love and laughter. And remember, you don't need candy to make the celebration special - you are sweet just as you are! :-)

I'm late in saying it, but I wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. I hope it was wonderful and you were reminded of all the things you are truly thankful for.
My day was nice. I did all the cooking, so I was a busy little bee from about 6 am on. Hubby's parents came over and we had a nice time. I ate a little too much, but overall didn't do too bad. :0)
Like the insane people we are, hubby and I tried to brave the stores at 4 am this morning to get some things we wanted for Christmas. It wasn't the sales that drove us there. Actually, the things we wanted weren't even on sale. We were just afraid that by the time the early crowds were done, there wouldn't be any of these items left. Turns out they were gone long before this morning and they didn't restock them, and we had to order them online anyway. (I lost sleep for nothing!!!) Can I just say I hate being in public for several days after Thanksgiving? I hate the pushy crowds, the long lines and the crazy, aggressive traffic. Nothing like saving $10 to make you nutso, huh? ;0)
Again, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know I am very blessed. I have my children and husband, who love me more than I really deserves. I have my extended family who are such a joy to me. I have some fantastic friends, even if they do live far away. And I have you readers, who have become like family as well. Without you, I'd be twiddling my thumbs and counting flowers on the wall. You are all so special and I truly appreciate and am thankful for each one of you!

My visitor counter just turned over to 3,500. This is the number of unique visitors that have stopped by since I started this blog back in July of last year. I know this isn't really a big deal to most, but to me it is. It's big to me because when I started this blog I didn't know if I'd even have one reader, let alone 3,500. I was just doing it as a way to express myself. I hoped that somewhere along the way it would be an encouragement to others, as well as a source of information, inspiration, and laughs.
If you've read this blog once, and then came back because you enjoyed it, I just want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Blogging my way through weight loss, and life's daily challenges, have helped me tremendously. And knowing that others read it, and seem to actually enjoy my sometimes mindless drivel, gives me joy beyond explanation. I've also met some amazing people through this medium. Friends from all over the world. :0)
I hope you've gotten at least a fraction of help and enjoyment from reading this blog, as I have from writing in it.
